Dhruva Postponed Again?

If latest grapevine in Telugu film nagar is anything to go by, Ram Charan's ongoing film Dhruva has been postponed again. The film, which is said to have planned to release on Dec 2, is reportedly pushed by a week and the latest is that the movie would hit the screens on Dec 9. While the reasons for the delay are best-guarded, it's learnt that the shooting of song in Bangkok is still pending and have to wrap up the post-production and kick start film's promotions which would take at least three to four more weeks.

This is not the first time, the film is postponed. The film was initially planned for October release, on the eve of Dasara. But frequent delays have caused in the postponement of film.

In fact, producer NV Prasad had bought the film's Telugu remake rights for a fat pay cheque of Rs 8 Crore (including director Mohan Raja's pay) during the shooting of Bruce Lee itself. However, after Bruce Lee has ended as dud, Ram Charan has had change of mind which resulted in the delay of starting the film. The film took large number of days in the pre-production phase and makers have zeroed in on director Surender Reddy on board for around Rs 3 Crore and reportedly shelled out another Rs 3 Crore for Aravind Swamy. Besides remunerations of Charan, Rakul, other cast and crew, makers have spent a bomb on the filming of the action thriller.

Meanwhile, producers have confirmed that the film wouldn't have any audio launch and instead release the film's music directly into the market. Instead, there would be a pre-release promotional event which is expected to draw buzz. As of now, the release date of Dhruva is still in quandary and an official announcement is still awaited.
