Young Heroes Fighting For Rajakumari
Just a month ago, Nara Rohith and Naga Shaurya's multi-starrer bromance, Jyo Achyutananda, saw both the young heroes playing brothers who fight with each other to win the love of the same girl.
Now, Rohith and Shaurya are continuing their fight once again for Nara Rohith's Kathalo Rajakumari. As surprising as it may sound, Naga Shaurya will be seen in a guest role in the film and the unit is currently shooting a fight sequence between both the heroes.
If the ongoing reports are to be believed, Nara Rohith will be essaying the role of an upcoming actor in Kathalo Rajakumari. However, more details about Naga Shaurya's role are yet to be revealed. The film will also see Lakshmi Manchu in a cameo of a film producer.
Debutant Mahesh Surapaneni is directing the movie and Venkata Srinivas, who had produced Nikhil's hit thriller, Karthikeya, is the producer. Ilayaraja scores the music and Chuttalabbayi heroine Namita Pramod is the heroine.
Charan Spending From his Pocket For 'Dhruva'?
There have been strong speculations in film nagar that Ram Charan is acting as the unofficial producer for Dhruva. Right from finalising the film's releasing date to all its promotions, Charan has been taking call on each and every thing. This isn't all. Rumours are also rife that Ram Charan himself is paying from his pocket. All the publicity and promotion costs have been reportedly taken care by none other than Charan.
And of course, Upasana Kamineni is the brain behind Charan and she is the one who is getting involved in all the P&A activities. Despite her busy schedule, she has kept all her important works (related to hospital administration, B Positive Magazine, Apollo Life Studio) aside, and making sure that Dhruva is aggressively promoted.
Recently, Upasana has camped in Mumbai to sort out few things and held several crucial meetings including with a PR agency to chalk out the plan. Many say that she is leaving no leaf unturned to make the film a big success and doing her best to see Charan enjoy the success.
Megastar Behind Balayya Cancelling Rythu
For the past few days, reports have been emerging that Nandamuri Balakrishna has shelved his much publicized 101st project 'Rythu'. Several reasons are being cited for this unexpected decision of Balayya but one will surely get surprised after learning the real reason.
The backstory of Balayya and Krishna Vamsi meeting Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Sarkar 3 in Mumbai to narrate him the subject and ask him to play the crucial role of the President of India must be known to all.
Reportedly, Bollywood Mega Star Big B has softly rejected the offer of enacting the President in Rythu presumably because of his busy commitments in Bollywood. When Big B conveyed his unwillingness, Krishna Vamsi has suggested the names of several well established senior actors who could essay that character but Balayya was allegedly so stubborn that he bluntly asked Krishna Vamsi to wait until Big B gets free from his commitments.
Isn't this too amusing a reason to shelve a potential project like 'Rythu'? Isn't there any other actor capable of playing the President's role? Well, Balayya seems to think so. With Balayya not ready to take Rythu on to sets unless Big B gets on board, Krishna Vamsi is heard to have put the project on backburner.
This probably is one example why senior Telugu artistes every now and then blast Telugu filmmakers and heroes for not offering crucial roles to them and running behind other language actors.
Unlucky First Look Poster
Modi's demonetization move has affected the film industry in many ways with some films getting stuck in labs, some unreleased and some got nipped in the bud itself. Here is another bizarre manner in which the Modi blow has landed on tollywood.
Some of the films whose shooting has been wrapped up, are now going for reshoots. Let's take the example of Manchu Vishnu's upcoming film 'Luckunnodu'. The title itself gave an idea that the film deals with money and the first look poster confirmed it. Vishnu was seen sitting like a king amidst a pile of cash bundles in the poster.
Well, after the old currency has been scrapped, wouldn't it look funny if the characters in the film shown running around for those defunct notes? Reportedly, in most of the scenes of Luckunnodu, money bundles were used. While some shots can be corrected using graphics, some scenes have to be reshot in order not to make a mess of them. This in turn will be a tedious task for the makers as they have to once again acquire the dates of all actors and shell out sizeable bucks.
Irony is that a film having 'Luckunnodu' as its title has faced this unlucky situation.
Balayya Chooses 16th, Chiru Picks 18th
The two major Sankranthi releases Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Khaidi No:150' and Balakrishna's 'Gautami Putra Satakarni' are going to take heads on even before the actual release.
With it comes to their audio launch schedules, while Chiru was planning Khaidi music event on 16th December Balakrishna came up with the same date for GSPK launch in Tirupathi. It is also learnt that Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu will grace this event in Tirupathi.
So, now, Megastar had to step back and choose a new audio date. After heavy discussions within the team, Konidela Productions seems to have locked 18th December for the music launch of the prestigious film. According to our birdies, Vizag and Vijayawada are two venues under consideration for the event.
Also, both the films are highly battling it out to stand first in the Sankranthi race. While Chirrantan Bhat has composed audio numbers for GSPK, the sound track of Khaidi No:150 is being helmed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Kajal Failed to Repeat 'Pakka Local' Magic!
Actress Kajal Aggarwal has recently created mass hysteria in theatres and exceeded the expectations of glamor dose in her first item song 'Pakka Local' that was featured in the biggest hit of this year, 'Janatha Garage'. Now, it seems that Kajal's another attempt to replicate similar magic didn't work.
Kajal's latest Tamil film 'Kavalai Vendam' (Enthavaraku Ee Prema in Telugu) was released in theatres on 24th Novemeber. The romantic entertainer has received largely mixed to negative reviews.
There was an earlier talk in film circles that Kajal had showered glamour in the film in such an audacious manner that even Censor Board members got surprised. Adding strength to these reports were the heavily seducing posters of Kajal and a bikini song of hers in the film.
Despite all these, the film hasn't made much noise at the box office, going by the day one reports. In fact, the film's Telugu version wasn't released as per schedule and now makers reportedly worry feeling even if Kajal couldn't, who else can save their film?
Isn't Rajinikanth a Superstar in Telugu?
Rajinikanth is called by his fans and the film fraternity as the superstar of South. His stardom isn't limited to Tamil Nadu and the actor's recent film "Kabali" has once again proved this by beating the opening records at national level. But, it is heard that director Shankar still believes he needs a bigger star than Rajini to make his film work in the Telugu states.
Reports are emerging that Shankar is mulling over to rope in one of the star heroes of Tollywood to play a cameo in his upcoming high budget visual extravaganza '2.0'. The film has Rajinikanth reprising his role from the swashbuckling hit film 'Robot', which shattered the box office records of top Tollywood heroes' films a few years earlier.
Although Rajini's subsequent films failed at box office, it was largely because of the unimpressive content and high business involved. Despite all these, Shankar reportedly wants a big Tollywood hero to play a cameo in '2.0' to attract the Telugu audiences.
Mahesh babu and Prabhas are the two names that Shankar has in mind, say reports. Well, being a down-to-earth personality, Rajini wouldn't mind this but would his fans encourage Shankar's tactics?
